The Business
MERIKA was founded by Erik Bruun Bindslev in May 2002, after a decade’s experience in the food sector and rooted in his personal values and beliefs. His aim was to establish a straight-forward, pragmatic and ethical business model offering companies fast-moving entrepreneurial solutions with clear objectives and anchored in solid strategy.
MERIKA operates openly and in the belief that we offer grounded expertise with tangible, sustainable results to the people and organisations we work with.
Founder & Managing Director
Erik Bruun Bindslev is a Danish national who has worked in the food industry for more than seventeen years. He has been based in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Paris, Copenhagen and London and is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.
Erik has years of international sales, marketing, logistics and strategic management experience within the food sector, working on everything from small start-ups to big multi-nationals. He holds an MBA from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chausées in Paris and a BA in International Business from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business School. Erik is currently based in London.
